Yeah, it's 22 bucks. Yeah, it's kinda like what your dad drank. Yeah, it ain't sexy nor the flavor of the month to the celebrity chef/hipster crowd. Yeah, I can find it on the shelf with relative ease. Yeah, the people who couldn't spell bourbon 3 years ago ain't interested in it. Yeah, it's big and bold. Yeah, it's just about perfect...


Yeah, and give me the Beam over the ND any day of the week...


But, I do like me some ND 114, too...:D

I'm with you on OGD so far. Out of the 6 new-to-me bourbons I've tried it's my favorite so far. My girl makes fun of me saying it sounds like something an old man would drink. Go figure!

Just happen to have some OGD 114 in my glass right now. It's among my favorite rocks pours this winter, along with HH BIB White which will probably follow this glass.

Going to start of with some PHC2010, fine, fine whiskey.

Just cracked open a 2003 Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage. In my limited vocabulary I would describe this 2003 vintage as more elegant and refined than the previous 2 vintages I've tried of EWSB. I'll definitely be picking up another bottle (or two).

So happens my Father did drink Grand Dad.

BHC VSOF...classic SW profile...great nose, decent palate.

Unwinding with some Weller 12 tonight.

Hitting the top shelf - WLW, JPS18 and GTS. Stagg my favorite of the bunch.
