Liquid lunch, I love it. Sounds like a tasty one.
Occasionally chase it with some food.
Had a bit of Buffalo Trace last night with Tatuaje Black Petit Lancero.
A magnificent pour of 2012 PHC.
Thanks for the info on 4R visitors center, guys. Hopefully I get something nice when I'm there.
Mckenna BIB.
I must add that my wife is awesome. She just walked over to the bar, topped with 25 opened bottles, and asked "Do we have anything that's bonded?" "Yes honey, but currently just the McKenna and CEHT rye."
"I'll take the McKenna."
Starting the night off on the right foot with a pour of OF BIB.
ER10 to start the evening.
For no other reason than I ran by my buddy Jay's house this afternoon on my run...Jacob's Well................Well that, and of course, it IS the "Original Micro Bourbon"... :woohoo: :falling:
The very nicely done label says...
...it's "twice barreled"...The contents of select bourbon barrels are married to bring the subtle flavors together and then re-barreled in the same casks for continued aging and smoothness...(YOWZA!!)
..."84 mos. old"...(not just plain ol' 7 yr!)
..."Batch No.: #B-0230-JW459"....(JACKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Holy Grail for Jacob's Wellophyles!!!!!!!)
..."specially crafted from a recipe that includes KENTUCKY LIMESTONE water, just like that drawn from a well discovered by Jacob Beam 200 years ago." (SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!)
Despite all that, it's not a bad little whiskey. Fair amount of caramel to it. Nice and chewy. Just, $18 and change. And, for the Beam "yeasty" haters, I detect none...Although, I tend to enjoy that Beam yeasty thing...But, still trying to figure out what is a "Micro Bourbon", what qualifies this as a "Micro Bourbon", and why a "Micro Bourbon" is important....:fish2::fish2::fish2::fish2::fish2:
