Is the OWA that much different from Weller 12?
It is to my taste... The W12 is very woody and thin, while the OWA is very sweet and thick, with some alcohol kick. I don't have the killer palate/tasting notes that others here have though, they may be able to define the difference better.

A very good day today, I got 3 bottles of the new Russell's Reserve Single Barrel and 4 Old Rip Van Winkle 10/107.

Nice haul. Better find that leak on the ORVW.

I picked up a few good wheaters today. Found some more V17 at a cheaper price than the one I bought yesterday so I grabbed another one, I also bought a VSOF 12, an ORVW 10/107 and a Lot B. The last ones on the shelf.

I couldn't have gotten the ORVW's without help from friends, the Cleveland/Chicago network is loaded with good people.

Yes I have been trying to plug that leak but gave up and I just let it flow.

FWIW here's what I find.
Nose: Bold vanilla upfront and red tart cherries in the background.
Palate: Entry to mid those cherries take over on top of creamy vanilla spice.
Finish: Decent length on the finish, the vanilla stays the longest.
Overall: A nice litle bourbon, balanced and mature, it is a vanilla bomb though and a good thing the cherries are there to quiet it down some.

Thanks for the notes Oscar, I guess now all I need to do is order some up!

The description says 63%. My search of previous releases didn't turn up any 126 proof bottles, so, I have no clue which ones will be delivered. Anyway, I'm looking forward to my first taste of BTAC.
My first bottles of BTAC turned out to be .... the 2012 edition: 66.2% ABV
