Oh damn, almost forgot my national holiday is nearly upon us.
I really like Tullamore Dew (in the 'value' brand level --- better than Jameson)... how does the 12yr stack up against the standard issue?

The 12 is bolder, richer, rounder and of course older.
Will have to depend on Squire's judgement as I have not had it before. It has been a while since I had the standard expression as well. I got it because several people had noted it was as he described, a significant step up for not a big price jump, and it included single pot still whiskey in the blend with single malt and grain whiskies. Thought it would be a good comparison to The Irishman 70 which is less expensive and younger but only has pot still and single malt without the grain. Probably won't crack it open until closer to the holiday.
Awesome haul this past weekend:
1 x Van Winkle rye
1 x Van Winkle 10 year 107
6 x Weller 12
3 x Vintage 21 rye
Grabbed a Four Roses 100th Anniversary.
My three handles of MM showed up today. That should last me a little while.
Best regards, Tony
Gimme a call if you need another!
Started the day walking down the driveway and meeting the man in brown walking up to the house with my two Hirsch 25yr ryes. That was a very good way to start the day.
Made me smile the rest of the day.
