Friends welcome, unclebunk. But for you that flight out of O'Hare is gonna be bumpy. United isn't likely to be able to fly above the fire and brimstone hailstorm, and the best you'll get on the way over is Jim Beam Black, ...till they run out, ... after about 35 minutes under the circumstances.

p.s. I don't thinks the single malts would follow the VWFRR very well.

Honestly maybe some ORVW10/107 or maybe whatever IPA is in my fridge. Not the nicest bottle I have but I think it'd be the one.

Most likely the GTS '12, but possibly the HP18 (if I wanted a single malt). The 2012 isn't the best Stagg that I've ever had, but it is the only one currently in my possession. The HP18 has a special place in my heart, so I'd give that some serious consideration.

This is a fitting thread because my wife has accussed me of "bourbon doomsday prepping" on more than one occasion I've got a Very Old Fitzgerald I'll be cracking for the occasion and I'll be tasting (guzzling?) it along side the 107 proof 23 year old rip (decanter). It's been nice knowing you fellas (and ladies) :pope:

I once flew on a little puddle jumper from Albany, NY back to NYC and every 30 seconds or so for a period of about 45 minutes was like hitting a speedbump going 50 mph due to the extreme turbulence. To prevent myself from shitting my underwear, I drank every beer she had to calm my nerves (they didn't have any booze on hand). And it was BUDWEISER! Talk about the end of the world!:lol:

I debated on going with the Lag 16 or HP18. Both are fantastic, and I've been to Orkney and consumed it at the source with a dear Scottish friend, so it's special to me too. Aw, shit. Just give me both!:grin:

I am fond of my Lag 16 too, but I have to be in the right mood for it. It isn't an everyday pour for me. OTOH, the apocalypse isn't your typical day!

I'm a bit of a hophead myself. Sierra Nevada Torpedo is the current IPA residing in my fridge.
