Making a trip to TPS, what should I get?
I have a job interview in Cincinnati this Friday and I plan on stopping by The Party Source before I return to Purdue. I'm looking for suggestions on what I should get. I know there are some TPS exclusive bottlings of various bourbons, but are any of them a must buy? Also are there any good bourbons I could get there that simply aren't available in Indiana?

I recommend Barton BIB if it's not one you can get locally.

If you like tequila, their Tequila Ocho barrel proof is delicious.
Otherwise, I think I'd go nuts if I ever went there - the John J. Bowman TPS barrel #45 is one of my favorites.

What do you like to drink? What haven't you tried that you wish you could try?

I'm kind of a beginner to the bourbon thing, my friend got me started on it a while ago and I just recently started trying new brands. I actually like everything I've tried so far: OGD 114, Elmer T. Lee, Very Old Barton Bib, Larceny, WTKS, JTS Brown, Heaven Hill Green and White, etc. The only bourbon I've had that I don't really care for is Makers Mark, it's not bad but I don't go out of my way to get it.

I'd say to try some Weller, OWA or the 12 year old. Good value to be had there and something you haven't tried.

Just wander down aisle 10, you'll figure something out!

zrschaef you apparently like a wide range of Bourbon styles which include wheat and traditional rye mashbills. I suggest you use the opportunity to broaden that base by selecting brands that are not available in your area.

TPS is the "Toys-R-Us" for drinkers. You'll have fun!

DEPS and CnB also have numerous barrel selections. I always hit all of them when in Northern KY.
