Help! What would you open first?
Just got back from a bourbon tour of KY. I was only able to bring 3 bottles back with me. I think I'll treat myself this coming weekend but would like some help deciding!
Now, you can't vote more than once as you know, and no smart-a## answers like "Drink them all, man... Drink them all!"
Thanks, my friends!

Re: Help! What would you open first?
Absolutely the best of the three is the Eagle Rare 17yo. Thick and luscious with lots of caramel, vanilla and just a touch of barrel char. One of the best bourbons available IMHO.
Re: Help! What would you open first?
Eagle Rare 17YO got my vote as well. Absolutely wonderful! http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...emlins/yum.gif
Re: Help! What would you open first?
Open the Eagle Rare 17yo. Not that the others aren't worthy, but they're not quite as unique.
Re: Help! What would you open first?
ER 17 is living on borrowed time. Enjoy, then bunker another away, if you still can.
Re: Help! What would you open first?
I'll have to run with the crowd here. Open the ER17 If you like it you can plot a course of action . The other 2 should be available until sometime in 2014. http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...emlins/lol.gif
Re: Help! What would you open first?
I must admit, I bought the Blanton's for my wife because it has a pretty little horse on top. http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...mlins/wink.gif
Re: Help! What would you open first?
Definitely open the ER17 first, but try to savor it and finish it last http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...lins/smile.gif... I remember seeing blantons at a LCBO (?) store in niagra falls last year, so i assume you can get that more easily than the ER17 (which is limited anyway)

Re: Help! What would you open first?
Definately go with the ER17 first...then Blanton's then Russell's....I too would really savor the ER over many days...
Re: Help! What would you open first?
I ride with everyone else on this one...Eagle Rare all the way. It's one great bourbon! Not that the others aren't good too...
