Sad, but it looks like I may have missed the KBS boat around here. Came and went yesterday at the Barns apparently, and not sure if anyone else will be getting any. :( Maybe I'll luck out yet!
It was pretty sparse here. Party Town got 3 cases (after getting 20 cases last year). Most places had a 1 bottle limit - not worth the hunt to me for a bottle/shop. I like Bourbon county much better anyway and it's been easier to get in larger quantities in the past few years.
None for us. We sell a fair amount of founders too. I look at brewery expansions with a critical eye nowadays. First with Bells and now founders. Both places promised more of all types of beer. Instead they expanded into more states.
Having a Jolly Pumpkin La Roja to ease my suffering. Delightful.
I grabbed a bottle of KBS at Jungle Jim's last night while I was there picking up some rabbit to make rabbit stew for a bourbon county tasting tomorrow night. Also picked up a Zombie Killer - it's a cherry cyser (mead + hard cider + cherries), which was exactly what I needed last night (after a long day).
Have you aged any Jolly Pumpkin beers? I like the La Roja even more with about a year on it.
I have t personally, but this one had been sitting At the store for over a year so they did the work for me!
Picked up a Chimay 3-pack gift set today with the Chimay goblet along with one each of Rochefort 6, 8 and 10.
Tried out some 21st Amendment IPA and Oyster Stout. Not too shabby. Cracking open a Shiner Premium now.
Cheering on spring with a Bell's Oberon.
