What 'current' bourbon is on your 'want' list?

I don't recall seeing a thread like this, so my appologies if it's been done before..

What 'current' bourbon is on your 'want' list?
In other words, of all the bourbons (and Ryes) currently available and in production, what is your next purchase likely to be?

I'm currently saving for an extra couple of bottles of Van Winkle 12yo & 15yo before the limited stocks in Australia run out.
Then I'd like to finish off my Beam Small Batch bottles by purchasing a Bakers and Hayden.
And of course, one day I'll get around to buying a bottle of Cougar and sampling it neat http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...lins/smile.gif

Well, Cam, I not going to answer your question directly -- because, frankly, my next bourbon purchase probably won't be something I don't already have or have had. But, if I could find something I've never found before that's likely still out there somewhere it would be one of the '86-'88 Evan Williams Single Barrels -- preferably, of course, in multiple, so I can partake as well as bunker or trade.

Old Pogue, Four Roses Single Barrel, and Sazerac Rye are all on my watch list, they would be new aquisitions. Eagle Rare 17 to replace a "1 incher" is also on my list.

I would like to have the Joesph Finch and Henry Clay bottles.
It might not be currently produced, but some people are still finding it at stores on occasion.

I'd like to get some Van Winkle Rye, which to my nose is the most wonderfully aromatic whiskey I've ever sniffed.

I don't know if this would be considred a "current" bourbon, but, from what I've read and heard, I would love to get my hands on a 2002 Stagg! http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...emlins/yum.gif

If I were to walk into a store I'd never visited and saw OFBB 02 and Stagg 02 sitting there waiting for a home I think I'd call it a red letter day.

But realistically, the next two I'm thinking of are a Noah's Mill and a Classic Cask which are obtainable.

For one I'd have to travel to get, would love to try a Rittenhouse Rye or an export Blanton's (gold, silver or barrel proof).

At the top of my list (right now) is Old Rip Van Winkle 'Old Time Rye', the 12 year old. Unobtainium, I'm afraid... maybe one day I'll get lucky.

My realistic near-term shopping list: W.L. Weller 12 y.o., Old Forester BIB (July BOTM!), and Old Fitzgerald BIB. Keep in mind that in Los Angeles, these are not easy scores and will require a bit of driving!

Without a doubt it would have to be WT 17 yr old.

I am going to Japan and that's exactly how I feel! I've put my bourbon purchases on hold until I'm in Japan in late August. So far my list includes Blanton's Gold, Old St. Nick, and of course any of the Van Winkle bottles made for the Japanese market. http://www.straightbourbon.com/forum...emlins/yum.gif
