Being a fan of both WT Rare Breed and their rye offering I had at times wondered what a Rare Breed Rye ( a blend of 6, 8, 12yr. stock) would be like.

Well this is great news! WT rye and or Rittenhouse Rye BIB are for me daily pours as I always seem to have one or the other both open at all times. I am hoping for 101 proof though. I wish they would boost RR bourbon back up to 101 proof as well. Good stuff it is.
Did this new rye make an appearance at the KBF this weekend?
I did not see it unless it was at the Gala, but I did not attend this year.

We were at Wild Turkey during the KBF and were told that the RR Rye was not released yet.

Original discussion was a late September release. Has anyone seen this?
It's on the shelves locally (No. KY) at least since last Friday.
SoCal..dry.
I picked up a bottle here in Wisconsin last Friday. well deserved pour after work. It reminded me of the regular WT rye. But I didn't have one on hand to do a more direct comparison. So I will pick one of those up as well as another Rittenhouse BIB so I can do a side by side comparison. Also I will see how the Van Winkle 13 year rye competes.
Would you consider doing a head-to-head between the RR rye and WT rye reduced to 90 proof?
Considering the difficulty I'm likely to have if I decide to acquire a bottle of the RR, I'd like to know in advance that it's distinctive in some postive way.
Yours truly,
