Re: What Wee Dram are you enjoying now?
I was craving Irish so I picked up a bottle of Powers 12 year old and had a couple of pours. Very tasty. The 12 years doesn't really tame the pot still spice but it rounds out the edges. The sherry influence stays in the background, which I prefer, so this one isn't nearly as overtly fruity as some of its competitors.

Powers 12 is always on hand in my house and a great budget whiskey. I would like to know though why Paddy's appeared here in the US and has now disappeared just as quickly. Anybody?

Bought the suit I'm going to wear for my wedding next month. Then I needed something to calm the shakes I got from spending so much money at one time. Went with a Laddie 10 because I'm feeling sophisticated right now.

Found out today that I'm already over 100% on my quarterly number so I'm celebrating with a couple nice pours of Redbreast 12. The good news is that I'm expecting to close my largest deal of the quarter tomorrow, so that should help me buy a few more bottles in the near future! :)

I'm having a little bit of Jameson Signature Reserve tonight.

Such an exquisite pour.
There is exactly one, and only one, advantage to buying liquor in PA, and it is Laphroaig 18. Apparently, the state was asking Beam Global to submit new paperwork when Laphroaig discontinued their 15-year and began their 18-year. Rather than going through with that hassle, Beam decided to sell Laphroaig 18 to PA for the price that Laphroaig 15 went for.
