I felt the same way about Bowmore 12. It really was disappointing, imo.

Some Lagavulin 16 paired with a "Man Sized" pork chop fresh off the grill,the smoke and sweetness paired with the salty element of the chop,in a word magical!

Started with Auchentoshan Classic and moved to Caol Ila 12 for some smoke. So good. Might finish with a Lag 12 while I start to rewatch Game of Thrones with my lady.

On to some Laph 10 tonight, my first pour from this distillery. really tasty stuff for their cheapest expression, I'm impressed. After a night of Caol Ila and Lagavulin 12, this is a very fine pour.
