I have to get another bottle of that. It's possibly one of the best Scotches I've ever had.............. at least from what I remember.

Aaron malt devil's punch bowl. Worth the money, if you happen upon a bottle.
Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today?
I know this is mostly a Scotch Whisky thread but I am still focused more on Irish Whiskey at the moment although I did aquire the Kilchoman 2012 Machir Bay whisky for a change of pace.
But the main objective was to finally get the long delayed Yellow Spot 12yo single pot still Irish Whiskey (big brother to Green Spot and bottled at 46% ABV) to compare to the Powers John's Lane 12yo (also 46%) and Redbreast 12 yo (at 40%). In addition I got a bottle of Greenore 8yo all grain Irish Whiskey from Cooley to try as something different. The weekend plans are pretty much set.
Starting to build a decent range of Irish Whiskey although it would still be nice if more of these were available in the states, especially the single pot still whiskeys. Rumor I have heard is that several will finally arrive some time next year but I decided not to wait. And I feel certain I will be ready for a "refill" by 2013!

I'm a big fan of Irish whiskey myself. I need to branch out and try different things. So far I have tried Jameson12, Black Bush, Red Breast 12 & 15. I have a RB 12 CS but have not tried it yet.

My experience with the people I have shared the RB cask strength is that it is a love or hate relationship. Doesn't seem to be a middle ground. I like it better than the 12 but I think I prefer the 15 over both. May need to refresh my memory on that though!
I just added the Bushmills 21yo single malt to compare to the SPS whiskeys I acquired in recent months. I enjoy both the Bushmills 10yo single malt and the Black Bush (which are similar in cost but fairly different) so I thought splurging on the 21yo single malt would be nice treat. A mix of single malt whiskey aged in bourbon and sherry casks and the married together in Madeira casks for the final 2 years. I am looking forward to it as much as the Yellow Spot.

I just bought a Glenfarclas 10 year. I've never had it before. Any thoughts?
