I didn't enjoy peated whisky until I tried Talisker 10 year old. It really opened the door for me. It remains one of my all-time favourite drinks.

4R Barrel Selection OESK and 4R Barrel Selection OBSK ... one for me and one for a gift. Left a KC Barrel Selection but got a taste and will be back for that one. Loading up on bourbon and running low on cash. Funny how that happens on this day! Merry Christmas all.
Balvenie DoubleWood was one of my very first loves in scotch as well and remains a favorite. I am never without a bottle of it.
That is very true. I have several friends who were slow to warm to peated scotches and once bitten will no longer drink unpeated scotch. For me, it all depends upon my mood and I quite often go for Speysides for a change of pace. There are so many great lines of malt (Balvenie, Glenfarclas, etc.) but Aberlour is now the one that I reach for most often, particularly the 16 year old. Fantastic whisky!
Signatory Glenturret 12yr sherry cask. Have been scooping sherry cask bottlings in as many brands as I can get. My favorite barrel type for aging and finishing!

After reading some good reviews, picked up a Benromach 10. Very impressed. Speyside malty sweetness but with some sherry and smoke. This one just really hits the spot.
Picked up 3 bottles of Karuizawa (the two "affordable" ones from TWE & 1 of the "Memories of" bottles)
Bit on a great price for 2012 Lagavulin Distiller's Edition.
