Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today?
Picked up a set of Balvenie Caribbean Cask and the Peated Cask. I'm thinking of doing a full on series of the Balvenie RumWood, RumCask, Golden Cask, Cuban Cask and the Caribbean Cask. Although I'm 99% sure that the Golden Cask and the Caribbean cask are the same thing just renamed for different markets.
Just gotta find the day when I won't be doing anything else.
Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today?
I did a review of it here about 5 years ago if that helps.

Just received a bottle of Tyrconnell Single Malt Irish Whiskey from a friend which I will sample in the next few days. I hated Cooley's blended whiskey Kilbeggan (and can barely tolerate Michael Collins) but enjoyed the Connemara so I have high hopes for this bottle.

A 'semi-dusty' JWB centenary edition
Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today?
I picked up a Glen Devron 12, 1978 vintage. It was an impulse buy. It looked old and out of place and at a good price point. I cannot find much info in it.
Anyone know anything about this one?
Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today?
Laphroaig 15 yr. Love the 10 yr and the 18yr. Any opinions on the 15 yr. Comparisons?

I predict you're gonna like it.
A lot.
I do..
...when I can get it.
On the other front, I just got and popped open a bottle of Glen Garioch Founder's Reserve. Big and chewy. Seems peaty and fruity at the same time. Non chill filtered. NAS, and maybe a little young, but everything works out, even though you probably wouldn't expect them to from my description. Very enjoyable.
Would work well with a good cigar. ... which I don't have ... and couldn't smoke in my house anyway....
still, very enjoyable.
