Finally pulled the trigger. Picked up a Lagavulin 12 CS. Having my first sip now. Big peat blast. Iodine,seaweed, pepper. Long finish with a lingering burn. Drink this one neat. Just marvelous.

Bought three bottles of Wild Scotsman 15. Closeout here in PA; they're practically giving it away. I suspect the stocks will be gone in soon. it's only in two stores now. Fortunately both near my house. I almost feel like I should have bought more. I had gotten a bottle a few months ago and it's a nice pour. Very easy to drink.
Last bottle on the shelf of Clontraf Reserve. Been discountinued.
2 bottles of Lagavulin 16. Some days it's my all-time favorite.
Local ABC has the Balvenie 14 year Caribbean Cask on sale so temptation got the best of me since Balvenie is one of my favorite HSMSW's.
I had the 17-year Rum Cask last year. It had all sorts of sweet, spicy, caramel and allspice notes. I loved it. Too bad I could only afford one...Quote:
