Any sulfury/rubbery notes? The potential for that is the only thing holding me back from pre-spending my Xmas money on Springers

Just slight and only with water. Maybe hints of struck match. I get more rubber out of Laphroaig 10/CS batch 002.
The Springer reminds me of a farm shed. Grain, old fuel, tractor grease, coal smoke, oat straw.... just hints of rubber, but it is there.

Great description! I love that profile - replace the farmhouse with an old boat garage and you have a Port Ellen. Springbank is a treasure.
