Sticky: Re: BOTM 3/13: George Dickel Rye.

Bought a bottle last week. Enjoyed it over a couple of days. Very easy to drink, in fact it may go down too easy. Paid less than $23 for the bottle. Have not yet tried it in a Manhattan yet, maybe...

Re: BOTM: 3/11 Old Fitzgerald BIB

Agree. Some days the Fitz BiB is a decent pour, other days not so much.

Re: BOTM 4/11: The 2010 BTAC

    Ditto on the low proof.

Thought both the WLW & GTS were both very good this year but a little on the "hot" side, even after cut down in proof.

Near the end of a 10' Handy and think it is one...
  7. Re: BOTM 2/11: Old Rip Van Winkle 10 yr 107 proof

May have misinterpreted what I was refering to; Pappy 15 & ORVW 10-107 are higher proof than Pappy 20 & 23 and tend to have more "rich carmel flavor", due to the higher proof than either the 20 or...
  8. Re: BOTM 2/11: Old Rip Van Winkle 10 yr 107 proof

Ditto. Got about 9 bottles in the bunker. But I do like the Pappy 15 alot. The higher proof seems to pull out more of that rich carmel flavor, especially after a little air time.

    Re: BOTM 9/10: Booker's

Good stuff but like most Beam products over-priced with alot of other bourbons available at similar or lower prices.

Re: BOTM 7/10: Rittenhouse Rye BIB

Was in DC over the weekend and managed to snag 2 bottles in a Georgetown store. Was the only Ritt BiB I found anywhere. Have to slip slowly.

    Re: Old Grand Dad BiB

Tried the BiB for the first time in a long time. Was pretty good. Had the 114 a couple of months back and liked it so picked another bottle. The BiB has a nice carmel and butterscoth taste. Agree...

    Re: "Old Bourbon?"

Josh, its on the bottom shelf at Holiday. I passed on it. Its just JW Dant - "Olde Bourbon" and looks like lighter fluid. Next to a bottle called Beam 8, another scary looking product. Given the...

    "Old Bourbon?"

In the store the other day and saw on the bottom shelf, well maybe more like on the floor, a couple of bottles called "Old Bourbon". The bottle and label looked liked a previous Old Fitz bottle and...
