Welcome! I love the name.
Truth be told, I usually add a little water just to avoid proof-related acid reflux.
I love it and it's one of my favorites at any price point. I usually drink it neat but I will mix the 90 proof version on occasion.
IT'S PURDUE. P-U-R-D-U-E.

According to wikipedia,
So neither of us were exactly right.
My understanding is that the nickname came from getting big burly dudes who made boilers to serve on the football team. The name of the university itself comes from 19th century Layfayette, IN...
I like a person who gets to the point. Welcome.
Welcome Eric B! Sorry about Rakim not being down with you anymore.
Welcome! This is a good time to be a rye fan in the mitten! The selection has been getting better every year. Hope you can make it to one of our Michigan get togethers sometime soon!
Welcome from Royal Oak! Cheers and congratulations on the upcoming baby!
Welcome Clay! Good to have you aboard.

Welcome from Royal Oak! I love SW MI, used to go there a lot for winery visits but unfortunately haven't been back in several years. Cheers!
Welcome! I love how global this community is. You're off to a great start. Cheers!
Welcome! Contrary to this area's rep as CC country, we have a very strong Michigan contingent of bourbon lovers! On a related note, there's a get together at my place in Royal Oak on Aug 24, check...
Welcome! We have a strong contingent here in the mitten state, especially in the SE corner. Cheers!
I don't like it. The 81 proof rye makes it tastes like VWFRR, tho.
Welcome Dan! Being a whiskey guy in Michigan can be a challenge, but it's getting better by the month. Cheers!
Welcome Jack! I'm a transplanted northsider myself. Central Indiana has a lot of great whiskey folks, get to know them!
