The bottle I have is about 3 years old, and still one of my favs in its price range. As far as the heat goes, I think I have grown accustom to the higher strength bourbons, and built up some...
Welcone TBC... Yup, lots of nice folks here. Love the OWA
Greetings....Good luck on the dusty hunting...
the Curmudgeon Cock... Too old to fight, but will shake a stick at all you whippersnappers crossing his lawn. My Dads picture will be on the bottle.
Had a few friends sample with me the other night. Lewd references to how much they enjoyed my c*** made for a very entertaining evening indeed...
Picked up a bottle tonight for 17. I don't hate it... Pretty smooth for a 103.
Tried some belonging to a friend a while back. I was caught off guard by the cinnamon red hot flavor. Very special indeed.... Will pick up one of my own soon.
Hey Yoyo.... Joe
This is my fellow bourbonite in crime from KC.. He's a good guy with a good heart who has the passion for that fine spirit bourbon. Got him started on the top shelf stuff, now...
welcome Mark... I'll tell ya, I've really been enjoying my Henry McKenna Bottled in Bond lately... If you can find it around, you should try it... Reasonably priced.
Jeff
Welcome Doug...
In the under $25 range I would go with BT, or the OWA.. I just picked up some OC 10yr old the other day.. Very pleasant at around 20 bucks.
Did your distributor specify which PVW would cost you $300 to $350? If it doesn't matter, you might as well splurge on the 23yr old Which runs about 2 bills here. maybe the bottle age has something...
Cheers Bop.... You paid alot for that middleton. My last bottle ran $125... I love the stuff too.
Same with crown royal... I don't care to pay for water.
Welcome raiderx
Welcome Geoff.... That bacon flavored vodka scares me a little. On the other hand.... Everything tastes better with bacon!!!
Damn right... maybe he will stop by after the July 1st show. I'd be tempted to indulge him some PVW . Show him how us regular joe's slum it.
Welcome Sandy.... The only scotch I have around the house is Macallan 12yr and 18yr. I really like them both. The reason I got them was because the drummer Neil Peart of my favorite band Rush drinks...
Greetings.......
Try the Buffalo Trace as well... One of my favorite affordable bourbons. To me it tastes like it should cost more.
Knob creek is another fine affordable bourbon.
Welcome Wes. You've joined a good group of people here.
Welcome Keng......
Hey, I'm no longer the new guy.
indeed... It does tend to turn into a monster.....
weatherby lake is very close to me marco. Winters can get rough here.... I feel I'm part Eskimo though. The GTS at 141.4 aught to take of that.
Well the ri intrigues me, but it is not high on my list. The Pappy rye remains elusive for now. I need to try the Rare bread and Kentucky spirit. I was never too impressed with the standard off the...
Wow.... Thanks for the warm welcome. I'd give it about a 60-70 dollar bottle of bourbon welcome. I am actually across the Kansas border on the Missouri side. So don't hold it against me, or worship...
Hi everyone, my name is Jeff.... I stumbled upon your forum when I was researching a new bourbon to add to my collection, which seems to grow out of control sometimes. It's a good thing I'm not...
