Re: BOTM 4/11: The 2010 BTAC

I have had a bottle of Stagg and WLW but only 2 small pours of Handy. I liked Stagg very much and consider it one of the best years ever. Bunches of chocolate with a fruity background. WLW seemed...

Re: BOTM 2/11: Old Rip Van Winkle 10 yr 107 proof

An old favourite of mine. Not as good as it used to be, to my taste though. I have fortunately bunkered some bottles from 2002. Very good bourbon indeed.

    Re: BOTM 10/10: Sazerac Rye

I have had 2 bottles all together of this one with several years in between. Itís not my cup of tee at all. Far too friendly for my taste. Not even in the same league as Rittenhouse BIB.

Re: BOTM 7/10: Rittenhouse Rye BIB

I do agree Erik, that it is much better now then a few years ago. In my personal opinion it is better now, than Saz junior and WT rye.

    Re: Newbie from GB

19 % vat are included in the prices and why in heavens name should you pay GB vat? I never pay Swedish vat when ordering from Germany. Here are a few links.

    Re: Newbie from GB

I think you should lock at the German online store market Mark. The prices are general lower than in GB and the shipping fee inside EU is very reasonable. Most/many of them wonít ship to Sweden, but...

    Re: Hallo from Germany

    Francois,

To my personal taste WT 8 101 proof and Elias Craig 12 are both the best taste and value on your list. I do bay most of my bourbon from Germany as well.

Re: BOTM 1/10 Weller 12 Year Old

I did have a side by side a couple of moths ago with a relatively new Weller 12 and a lot B that had been in the bunker a couple of years. I did think that the Weller was slightly better and had more...

I would say Blantonís! Seem to me that you pay mostly for the horse on the cork. The uncut version is real horrible. This said this is a Japanese owned label but made by BT.

    Re: BOTM 2/09: Hancock's Reserve

Got my first bottle open and I must say that it is no typically BT bourbon to me. Very light and elegant with honey sweetness under the crisp taste witch I cant describe. Maybe it is tropical fruits...

Re: BOTM 4/08: The Classic Cask

I did drink the CC 15 Y 86-01 for the third or forth time today. Very light, spicy and unlike any other KBD rye bottling. Loots of wood tannins make it feel a bit overage as well. I could swear that...

Interesting to se that you have ordered from the whisky store. They have not wanted to ship to Sweden in several years, but I have not tried to pervade them for 1 or 2 years now so I guess...
