Sticky: Re: BOTM 3/14: Maker's Mark

MM was my gateway bourbon. It's where I started. I purchase a bottle maybe once a year to revisit it.

Sticky: Re: BOTM 11/13: Pappy 15

I absolutely adored PVW15 at it's old retail of about $55 a bottle. Over the past few years I've gone through several bottles. Now after the price hike I'd much rather have ORVW 10/107.

I love OGD114! Squire pretty much hit the nail on the head. I really hope Beam keeps it in production and never changes it.

    Re: Greetings from Balcones Distillery

    Welcome!

I have a bottle of your Texas Single Malt, which I like very much. Have also tried your Baby Blue and found it to be something different. Like it as well. Hope to one day try the...

Sticky: Re: Botm 1/13: Old Forester Signature

OF Signature is probably the only BF bourbon that I honestly enjoy. I don't buy it often but I do think that it's a quality product reasonably priced (unlike Woodford).

    Re: New From Lexington

Ryes are kind of hard. Others here know more about them but I would recommend Baby Saz (i.e. "regular" Sazerac rye)... but it's seemingly impossible to find here in Central KY.

  21. Sticky: Re: BOTM 9/12: Evan Williams BIB AND Heaven Hill BIB

I like the HH BIB. It's great for under $10. But I didn't know there was an EW BIB!

Sticky: Re: BOTM: 5/12 Evan Williams Single Barrel

Tasting the 2002 neat right now. This bottle is from barrel #91, barreled on 2-18-02 and bottled on 12-01-11. Nose is nice, kind of "dark". Taste is kind of unimpressive. Notable oak and some...

Agreed. I liked the BIB well enough. I just think the price is too high.
