Glad to see you're finally able to make your introductory post Pete! I'll see you in chat with a nice, healthy pour of Ardbeg Alligator  (you knew someone would have to be a smart-ass)

Welcome Brad! I'm glad to see that Ryan and I were able to talk you into coming here. Now we just have to talk you into coming to Bardstown for the Sampler
Gary
Good to have you with us! Since you're not too far from Chicago, you'll have to join us the next time we have a get together at Binny's.
Love this bourbon, enough so that I've purchased multiple bottles. Sure, I wish it was priced lower, but I've never had any regrets in buying them. IMHO, this one is worth the money.
Gary
Good to have you here Dan! Looking forward to the Sampler and more time at the Gazebo as well
Gary
As I've told a few people, this one reminds me of going to the county fair and having an ear of roasted corn dipped in butter. I really like this whiskey and will be picking up more when I get to KY...
Thanks to Calvin's post on "Deals", I've got a couple of bottles coming from TPS to try out. Free shipping is a wonderful thing!
Gary
I like this one quite a bit as well Joe, but hadn't thought of it as a dessert bourbon. What a great idea! I have a feeling my open bottle isn't going to last very long now.

[quote Hope to make it down to Kentucky in June]
If you have the time, come to Bardstown the end of this month for the Sampler and/or the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Sept. You'll meet a lot of...
Geez Joe, I was doing so well at finishing off open bottles and then you post this BOTM. However, after bringing one out of the bunker and having a pour, you're forgiven. Good call!
Gary
I prefer the RR, never have really gotten into WT101 (I know, blasphemy). It killed me to pass up RR10/90 at $24 today at Woodman's. Trying my best to drink up more of what I've already got :(
...
Did you buy the 6 yr or 10 yr? RR 10 yr 90 goes for anywhere from $24 - $29 here in northern Illinois, but it's always tough to compare prices in different areas of the country. Especially when we're...
I can't answer your question of whether or not the Bronx is picked over, but you should go for it anyway. You never know what others may have missed or what the store owner may have come across in...

didn't want it to seem like an ALL Van Winkle all the time kind of test.
I know it's not what you're looking for, but an all Van Winkle tasting would be a helluva lot of...
Mine is a Frankfort and I love it. Now I have to find a Louisville to go along with it!
Gary
I also met Rob at the Sampler, and Scott, I think your comment might just be an understatement.
Rob, I hope you're able to make it to the KBF. It would be good to see you again.
Gary
Have to agree with Scott - anything with "Bonded" in it's name in KY is going to be good. You have some options the rest of us don't have.
Enjoy!
[quote=fishnbowljoe:I just might have to go over and raid Vosgar's bunker.
Sorry Joe, you can raid all you want but you won't find any. Finished it off a while back and haven't replaced...
Paul is right on the money. FC is a good, fun, in your face bourbon. On those days where you're in the mood for a drink with a little attitude, this is it. Love the price as well
Gary
Welcome Doug. There's more truth to the above statement than you might think. More times than not, when I go to the cabinet I know what kind of a taste I'm in the mood for and you need to have the...
Joe - I may have to kick you in the nads when you get back from vacation. When we were at JT's the other week, you talked me out of buying an AAA, now you're making AA the BOTM? You're killing me!...
Can't say that I've ever had the Blantons Special 80 proof. Generally speaking, I haven't been a big fan of 80 proof bourbons, but you never know until you try them.
I'm going on vacation to...
Well, I guess I'm the one who's going to be different in my recommendations from your list. I've got a soft spot for the Blantons when you're looking for something rich and smooth and the Fighting...
I just finished a pour of Rittenhouse 100 and recommend it highly. Had some last night and enjoyed it soooooooooo much I thought I should have more tonight. Good call on my part if I do say so...
Great to have you with us Spy. If you ever come to the States again, visit Chicago and we'll see about having a get together at our favorite liquor store, Binny's. There's quite a few SB members in...
