You have 1125 ml bottles. How does your government handle the complex calculations involved in taxing that?

Re: saying hello from the windy city

Squire, Tony says he wants us to be the judge, not that he wants us to tell him to stop :)

So anyway, Tony... You gotta get some Four Roses on your shelf, bud.

Re: New member from Northern California

Try Binny's, they probably have all 10 recipes. Hi Time Wine has an OESK right now, looks like K&L doesn't have anything.

In answer to your last question, my personal preference is OESO if I had...

If you dug the Secretariat bottle, grab yourself a regular Four Roses Single Barrel... Same whiskey, sans the commemorative bottle.

My favorites lately are Four Roses Barrel Proof private...

    Re: Hello from Denver

    Welcome!

Denver's a great town, and full of great liquor stores to boot. It's the second best city in America ;)

What are your favorite bourbons? And since you're from Denver, what are your...

    Welcome to the party, Heath.

Questions such as those are allowed and there is in fact a whole thread dedicated to them in the Collectables forum. I'd recommend you wait a while before posting...

Yeah, poor Brown-Forman spending all this money on marketing for no return... :D

This pretty much says what I think. I will take OF Signature over Woodford, all day every day, for 2/3 the price at...

Sticky: Re: BOTM 2/14: Smooth Ambler Old Scout

I have a bottle of a 10 year private selection which I really enjoy. I've had samples of a few other OS/VOS and thought all were delicious.

One of the bottles from that rumored selection by some...

You guys would probably even draw the northern Illinois crowd...

But is that a good thing? :skep:

Gary speaks with wisdom. Drink it!

Also, in the event you choose otherwise, parafilm, not wax.

    Great choice, Joe.

I don't have any left, but thanks to a great SBer (;)) I drank a 200ml of Dant distilled at DSP-KY-2 and bottled at DSP-KY-16. The thing that stands out to me still is what Joe...

    Standard Barton mashbill.
  18. Re: So my favorite Bourbon so far is Bulleit Frontier Whiskey. Granted ...

Although I don't doubt that you get more rye flavors in the Bulleit, the FRSB has at least as much rye in its mashbill as the Bulleit, if not more. Assuming FR is still supplying Bulleit anyway.

    Re: Greetings from.. Outer Space

Welcome, Joshua! I shave with my great granddad's old Gillette Slim safety razor. I imagine I'm probably not the only wet shaver around these parts.

What have you been drinking lately?
  20. So my favorite Bourbon so far is Bulleit Frontier Whiskey. Granted ...

Go buy some Four Roses. Small Batch, Single Barrel, a barrel proof private selection... All good choices. Bulleit is sourced from Four Roses.
  21. So my brother-in-law drinks moonshine ....

I have not had much moonshine but I didn't think twice about drinking it when I had the chance. If it killed people or blinded them on a regular basis, everyone would know about it. Guy in his...

Which Four Roses have you tried?
  23. I have $100 burning a hole in my pocket...

Don't buy either of those things.
  24. So my brother-in-law drinks moonshine ....

It's EXTREMELY unlikely that he'll go blind. Just saying.
