Welcome to the board Glind, entertaining in every way. Thanks.
Perhaps it speaks of their Mothers fondness for the cute little boy on Lassie.
Welcome Here.
Enjoy the journey ahead.
My forte, thanks for counting me in........
I'm on a crusade to dispel what I can of this lingering issue. Fermentation is Gods immutable law, when the Bible says Wine it means Wine and not Grape...
Welcome here, there are lots of aspects to this gathering, enjoy them all.
All of the above mentioned threads by Marvin, excellent I might add, are stickied at the moment at the top of the "Tasting" forum. I urge any interested party to bookmark or otherwise save the urls...
This Month we'll look at another entry from Jim Beam in their Small Batch Collection, Basil Haydens. Old Granddad's youngest offspring and at a lighter proof. Some mention has occurred in the past...
I was told by people that went there their choices were Jim Beam and Barton.
I do know that Beam ran full tilt during that era.
I will add that if you find a Wild Turkey 12 year to buy and try it. If you still are having the same problem then from then on, steer clear of WT.
Actually "Steer Clear" isn't really what I meant...
I haven't read all the Bourbon books available but of what I have read, I keep going back to Bluegrass Belles and Bourbon, and But Always Fine Bourbon.
I wouldn't pass up a chance to read Nothing...
It also is a stickied post at the beginning of the Tasting forum.
I don't mean that. If for instance you had VOB in 80,86,90,100 I'd call that four different bottlings.
Now that I see that you've compared this to Evan Williams Black, JimBeam Black and White...
It's hard really to put this together, you have 29 open bottles, that doesn't give us a picture of what you have, for instance if you have every single barrel made and all the VanWinkles that would...
I'd try another bottle for sure.
What Chuck said! You will be to one side of the spectrum,High Rye to Straight Rye. I guess you aren't going to stop there, you'll be back to fight another day.
ERSB was VBT#39. The 17 year is absent there as of now.
Some things are better left alone...............
Welcome to the board. You appear to be on the way. I'm thinking if the EWSB hasn't grabbed you yet maybe to not go to the ECs yet. Then again maybe that could shed light on the EWSB. The 18 is one...
Welcome here
But wouldn't he rather ask for "Bourbon Neat, Water Back"? Another caveat if it could be done well and not belabored would be if he had a friend in Kentucky that supplied him with a few 5 gallon...
Welcome to the site, Stave.
I had a neighbor that worked at the distillery at Ekron for a time, he moved away and is not handy for questions.
Even Rite Aid has it in Ky. It's not hard at all to find here.
I guess I'm way passed being new to Bourbon, but if there's any room on your "A" list...................
I love EC18. I have at present 2 different bottles open from 2 different barrels. With some differences they are both very fine.
During this years sampler ( 2006) I had a drink of Beam White from their table, I think it was the 4 but it could have been the 7. I think this is a great BOTM, Jeff.
