    Re: Breathing and open Bottles

With some of the Horsepower on this forum I'm sure someone knows the scientific reasons behind this. It will, in no way, affect how much I enjoy wheated Bourbon but out of curiousity I'd like to...

    Breathing and open Bottles

I had no idea that bourbon needed to breathe to open up and show "more" character. When I first opened The OWA I had to Concentrate to identify the different notes and the nose was strongly alcohol....

    Re: How'd I do?

    How'd I do?

I went to my liquor store with the intent of buying a Weller 12, OWA or RVW 107. I found the RVW but I didn't like the price, $37.00. What I did find was that my store store purchased a barrel of...

    Glassware

What is the best glassware to use with bourbon? I can see using a snifter to capture the nose and I can also see using A big Old Fashion glass. What do the "pros" use to show the bourbon to best...

    Re: Need suggestions

Thanks everyone for your replies. So the Van Winkle 10/107 is the same as The Old Rip Van Winkle (ORVW)10/107? It sounds like all of these are from the Buffalo Trace or Weller family. Are all of...

    Need suggestions

I just got a bottle of Pappy 15 for my birthday. This "Mouth full of South" is blowing me away! The notes of caramel, brown sugar and maple are unreal. I am "hooked". As a fairly new (the finer...
