Re: Hi from South East KY

Welcome aboard from Lex. I travel your country regularly on the job, so maybe we'll find each other in the same honey hole!

Thankfully, the SE KY of today is not the Sahara of "legal" spirit...

    Re: Hello from West Tennessee!

Welcome to the club. I was born and reared in TN and happen to be quite fond of Mr. Dickel as well.

Re: Hello from the burbs of Nor Cal

Welcome! It would appear that your off to a good start. I would recommend OGD 114, KCSB, Booker's and WTRB, as they are for the most part regularly available and held in high regard by many here.

Welcome! Lots of great folks and knowledge hear. If you haven't already made friends, Dickel rye is wonderful (and will be kind to your wallet).

    Re: Hello from Alaska

Jealous of your fishing, for sure! Best day I've ever had was with "Capt Big Mike" out of Anchor Point. Are you on the Seward side or the Homer side?

    Re: Hello from Colorado

    Welcome aboard!

If you enjoy MM, you may want to try the Maker's 46. Weller is also a similar brand (wheaters) that gets a lot of love here, especially the Weller 12 and Old Weller Antique,...

Re: So my brother-in-law drinks moonshine ....

With autumn in the air I made a couple of runs of apple pie today. This allowed me to "liberate" a few quarts of corn liquor from my basement bunker and run a test "batch" that had been on my mind...

Re: I have $100 burning a hole in my pocket...

Amen! If starting now and armed with the knowledge herein, I'd suggest a nice variety of at least one of each rye forward, wheater and tweener. You can't beat the Weller brand (especially the 12 yo...

I just opened my standard single barrel bottle tonight and am already on the second pour. Wonderful bourbon, very balanced and smooth. This gem does not need any air time to work the kinks out and...

    Thank you!

I've been drinking bourbon for about 30 years...but really, did not have my "ah ha" moment until the last 10 years or so. I think time (and maybe a little age) may be doing for my mind what it...
