You had to look hard Joe. Liquor Barn was out when I went through friday so I stopped at Toddy's before going to the GN. They had two bottles on the top shelf behind the register and that was my...
Must be a newer bottle than mine or maybe they are aging them a bit longer as time goes on. There is no fruit or spice in mine at all, and the raw young whiskey taste stuck to my palate like a...
Sometime in the near future I hope to help you discover that with my next tasting. Just a matter of putting the right time together. And yes, it DOES get expensive. When I started I swore I'd...
I'm ashamed I hadn't noticed this thread before. Where the heck have all you Colorado bourbonians been for the past year and a half since I moved out here? I'm in Longmont, live by myself with all my...
I'd agree with all said so far, no grain alcohol. BUT, I'd also set back something else that you are fairly certain will be special in its own right just in case. Otherwise when you're old and grey...
What can I possibly say about the BOTM that hasn't been said elsewhere? I have both good and bad memories of JBW just like everyone but I find it a really strange coincidence that just this last...
The only bottle of MM I ever bought is still unopened. Not I assure you because I feel it's not worthy of opening, but only because it never whispered my name in the darkness or realistically...
Hi Jeff, wondering if you ever visit Brown Jug Liquors in your area? The one from that local chain that closed recently in St Louis is where I found a WT 12 split label and might be worth looking in...
Sorry Tim but the white label I have is the BIB which is 100 proof and therefore higher than EWSB's 86.6 proof. I think 4 yrs is correct though.
The packaging might help some too. WR bottles LOOK expensive and exceptional to me and if I were to put together a good LOOKING home bar, would definitely consider the bottling for its aesthetics...
I dunno guys, I like the new bottle for many of the same reasons but mostly because it gives me something to look forward to: smoking a big old stogie and drinking bourbon when my hair turns grey(er).
I won't disagree with that.
The Broadmoor here in the US is a secure institution where they house the criminally wealthy under the shadow of Pike's Peak....

"Eat, drink and be happy for tomorrow we may die"
Not sure if that is the actual quote but it sums it up for this "just open the bottle" nut.:slappin:
I concur with Dave, but have to ask...Since when is "Hey Old Timer, where's the John?" considered starting a conversation?:slappin: :stickpoke: :slappin:
I had to mail order mine when it came out to make sure I got some and it was delivered on a cold and blustery day after sitting in a cold UPS truck half the day. I opened the box as soon as the door...
Hmmm, where I come from, Ozark Wood was what you got when your teenage cousin Merleen come up outta the crick wearin nothin but a smile.....
The Very Old HH is another of those "must buys while in Kentucky" bottles for me and I believe TNbourbon will echo that. Great whiskey at an extremely reasonable price. According to Bettye Jo, it...
When you visit the Heaven Hill Vistitor's center and take the tour, your stop in the tasting room usually includes a sample of EC 18 and EW SB (at least my first tour did). They present a small...
Just one more reason that Leslie is one of the most gracious women I have had the pleasure of meeting. I mean how many others would have tolerated me all the way from Bardstown to Louisville and...
I'm sitting here with a pour of EC 12 now. This has always been one of my favorite every occasion bourbons for quite some time. However the current bottle I have just doesn't seem to have...
Which is why I had him sign a RR 101 for me last year at our BF tour I guess. This was before the announced change so maybe I'm more psychic than spastic for once....
Lukas Liquor Superstores is where I got my bottle of OF 100. They have it in their online store for $13.99. I don't see a listing of where all they are located but I have been to them here and in...
Just inside the front door at Lukas Liquor Superstore in Manchester MO is a HUGE display of KC for 19.99. Has been there at that price for as long as I remember. They either keep it filled to the...
I just have to ask if everyone is seeing KC signed bottles EVERYWHERE like me? Just about every store I've been to lately has Fred Noe's signature on the bottle. I'm starting to wonder if Fred is...
