Same here --- the name and the logo scream 'rot-gut', and that kept me away for a long time... but that aside, I find more to like about this stuff then most anything in the $20-$30 range.
FC is a little scary... 103 proof, super sweet AND spicy... and only $13 for 750ml.
It's the kinda juice you could OD on. ;)
But seriously, one of my favs. I too am annoyed that I waited so...
Yet another bourbon I've been meaning to try... but never get around to. The local stores only have the 1.75L size for some reason, which makes it a little more of a gamble for a 'first try'.
Just a heads-up for any fellow AZ members/lurkers --- I called the local Costco and you do NOT need to be a member to buy alcohol here in AZ.
I haven't tried the Kirkland bourbon yet... been...
Little update... my bottle of EC12 did indeed open up nicely after about 2 weeks. It lost a bit of the subtle chocolate flavor, but the reduction of the astringent finish made it much, much better.
