Welcome!
yodeling in the porcelain canyon
You need to go visit LeNell.
I wouldn't add grain alcohol. I would drink as is.
I don't care if you are Canadian.....$23 bucks for JBW is un-american!!:hot::grin:
You just need to get home now to take advantage of these new developments! Be safe and thank you for your service.
Besides good weather and good whiskey......I do hear the Ice Fishing is good though! :-)
You must not have that in D-troit.
It is usually found next to the Rowan's Vintage Mill 24yo. I will see if I can find you a pic.
 Yeah what Dave said.
Your in Canada are any Bourbons < $15.00?
I like Noah's Kentucky Creek 30yo of course
None of the above
Must not be much of a scale.
Jeremy is right. Money to start up and money to stay in compliance. I am afraid the days of micro-distilleries are far far away.
If you want to mess around with distilling, I would suggest...
If it were me I would start hitting some of the low shelf/mid shelf offerings. Some of them are really good, especially for everyday drinks. Some are so good you think they would be special...
THe only exception to the above would be the Old Fitzgerald. They usually dont do well in decanters and you should mail it to me so I can dispsose of it for you.
For moderately priced bourbon that is pretty smooth I would suggest Weller antique 107 or the 12 yo. I also like Old Granddad 100 proof BIB although it is not as "smooth" as a wheater.
I have been known to buy junk if its older and I have not tried it. There is some decent whiskey in some of those old bottles with bottom shelf labels.
I used to think I didnt like Turkey because of the rye but I love straight rye. I think I have decided I dont like perfumey bourbon.
Ice,neat, fresh out of the freezer. Its all good and depends on my mood.
I get EC 12 for under 15 a bottle. Its my goto cheap bottle.
that or the JIM BEAM with the Orange and White label. HA!
I like Elijah Craig 12 year.
