  1. Re: After drinking Makers Mark, Is it worth trying the Jim Beam white label?

Just curious....do they sell Maker's 46 there? Definitely a step up from regular Maker's IMHO

I've had a number of store selection bottles, both NAS and age stated, that to me were very good. Sure, a little higher proof would be welcome but these were all very flavorful and far from being...

I've had 3 different ages of their bourbon and have enjoyed all of them. My bottle of 6yr went pretty fast and it's been my favorite so far. Had a couple of pours of 7yr at a restaurant that was very...

Since you're an avid bourbon lover, you have to open it. No reason to hold onto any bottle IMHO. Be sure to let us know what you think of it!

I'm working on an '09 that I bought in 2011 (imagine the odds of a PVW15 sitting on the shelf for 2 yrs these days) and it's heaven in a bottle. Glad I was able to buy a few of them ($49.99!). As for...

Nice to have you here Tony. I'm not from Madison, but an hour south of you, just across the cheddar curtain into Illinois. If this means what I think it means, I'm one of those guys ....

I don't think I've had any of the standard 1792, but have had some private selections that were very good. Always drank them neat so I can't comment on how it holds up with either

Looks like I may be the oddball here. My first (and only) bottle was one of the few I've given away after trying a number of times and just not liking.

  12. Sticky: Re: BOTM: 6/12 Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Warehouse C Tornado Surviving Bourbon

Love this bourbon, enough so that I've purchased multiple bottles. Sure, I wish it was priced lower, but I've never had any regrets in buying them. IMHO, this one is worth the money.

I like this one quite a bit as well Joe, but hadn't thought of it as a dessert bourbon. What a great idea! I have a feeling my open bottle isn't going to last very long now.

Geez Joe, I was doing so well at finishing off open bottles and then you post this BOTM. However, after bringing one out of the bunker and having a pour, you're forgiven. Good call!

Re: '08 KS and RR90 Questions?

I prefer the RR, never have really gotten into WT101 (I know, blasphemy). It killed me to pass up RR10/90 at $24 today at Woodman's. Trying my best to drink up more of what I've already got :(

Did you buy the 6 yr or 10 yr? RR 10 yr 90 goes for anywhere from $24 - $29 here in northern Illinois, but it's always tough to compare prices in different areas of the country. Especially when we're...

Have to agree with Scott - anything with "Bonded" in it's name in KY is going to be good. You have some options the rest of us don't have.

    Enjoy!
