Welcome!!!!
We're going to have to break you of that Jim Beam White habit. :)
The somethings up cause I can't find it for the life of me.
Is Old Rid Van Winkle 10 years old - 53.5% abv (107 proof) still being made? I'm getting really close to running out and I need some more.
Good post. I agree.
I must just have a great area. Between three different stores that carry liquor, one of them always has Beam Black on sale for 12.99-13.99 and the same goes for Wild Turkey 101.
I find myself enjoying it much more these days. It being available for 12.99 means that I always make sure to have an unopened bottle just in case. Would I buy it for 19.99? Probably not. But it's a...
Bevmo just raised this by 5 dollars a bottle. Still worth it but it kinda makes me mad.
I didn't want to say but yes...HiTimes version of ETL was HORRIBLE! That was the one that I even saw returned to a Bevmo. It was sitting on a shelf at Bevmo with a HiTimes sticker on it. I won't buy...
I've purchased three lately from Bevmo in SoCal. The most recent a month ago. It tastes fine to me. The one I did not like was a store specific version at a competing retailer.
I think that I've made it clear here that Elmer T. Lee is my favorite bourbon. However, I ran into a batch that was just not good IMO. I have no idea what it was about it but I just didn't like it....
I cannot distinguish "musty earthiness" as a flavor yet. I finally got a grip on "woodiness." Sooner or later.
I'm a broken record. Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel.
Let me go ahead and second the suggestion of Elmer T. Lee. It was the first bourbon I purchased and I always make sure to have a bottle of it handy.
Welcome to the board!
The problem with steakhouses I've come across seem to be that they have a special relationship with Jim Beam. They have Maker's Mark but also Bakers, Knob Creek, Bookers, Jim Beam etc. Typically...
I love WT 101. I've tried the other more "expensive" bourbons Wild Turkey had to offer and have always come back to this one. While it is not my number one it is probably the most reliable in terms...
Does anyone know if the Binny's Single Barrel of Buffalo Trace is bottled before or after the bourbon is re-barreled? Just curious. Thanks!
Mark
I'm a little over halfway through my first bottle of Buffalo Trace. This is the the Binny's Single Barrel version. I must say it is very good, and gets better and better after every drink. Now...
Not sure if this is the correct place to post but any word on what October's BOTM is? October is just a few hours away!!!
