    After much experimentation, I found Pepsi a better match for Rum than Coke. In fact if you can get the one made with sugar cane instead of HF-Corn Syrup it is much better.

    I'd skip on Vintage Bourbon 17 and Jefferson's Presidential Select. These arent easy to come by and they certainly arent cheap.

    I had a bottle.of.Pyrat XO and both times I had to send it back becajse cork was rotting. Rum happens to create condensation. I am not sure why. But it saturates the cork which festers, then...

    I guess I should have added tbe Solera part. My understanding is that all extra aged rum is solera because it evaporates in the barrel.so fast you really dont have much choice.

    1) I can't find any ORVW product. Ever. Even when you put your name on the list, the store managers only really want to get the PVW line and only ever receive 1 bottle...
