    Sticky: Re: BOTM 8/14: Blanton's

One of the first premium bottles I bought when new to bourbon. Not going to lie, the packaging drove the purchase, but the smooth balanced taste and finish made me happy I took the risk.

    Haven't...

Will admit to having only tried the SmB from the range (though am tempted to pick up the Rye). Enjoyed it, found it to be hot...in need of both a splash of water and some time in the glass.

Sticky: Re: BOTM 9/13: 1792 Ridgemont Reserve

I've had a real hit and miss experience with 1792. First time i bought it, reminded me of liquid honey. Went through that first bottle fairly quick, neat, rocks, w/Coke. Next bottle (about a 6 month...

Sticky: BOTM 8/13: Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel

ETL was my first really drinkable bourbon when I was just getting into bourbon a few years back. No Coke, no piles of ice and the whole time I was shocked and impressed.

    Sweet yet balanced taste,...

Sticky: Re: BOTM 6/13: Wild Turkey Rye 101

Similar mistake i made. I figured these fine SB.com gentlemen couldn't be wrong...bought 1 @$23, sat on it for 6+ months (just had other bottles in rotation). Finally cracked open and promptly...
