You're right John. Tallahassee has it all. I can, first hand, vouch for everything you said. What you did not add is the large collection of bourbon enthusiasts that live there. All very...
Welcome. What part of PA are you from?
Joe :usflag:
Welcome. We are only about 50 miles apart. If you ever getup to the Reading area give me a shout and maybe we can have a pour together and talk all things Whiskey.
Joe :usflag:
This is one of my favorite pours, especially the EROPL.

I happen to like the JRPS whiskies. I do believe that the lower batch numbers were better (7 and under). That said, I believe woodiness increases with batch number after number 7. I do not object to...
Made at what is now Buffalo Trace, probably in the 70's. Should be good stuff.

Been there, done that. We should get together for a pour sometime. I'll show you my Michter's stuff. PM for phone number.

Welcome to the site from another Pennsylvanian. If you live anywhere near Reading, perhaps we could have a pour at my place sometime.

Eagle Rare Old Prentice Lawrenceburg is one of my top 5 whiskies of all time. I remember it well. The other expressions of it are also good, but the EROPL is the best IMO.

If I had a go-to everyday bourbon, this would be it.

I agree with Scott, although, when I handed it out to all my bourbon friends, they all wanted to buy a bottle or two.

Welcome to SB. My daughter once lived in Oahu and I've visited many times. Beautiful Island you've got there. Too bad about the bourbon supply but I guess you can't have everything.

Welcome Soonami. If you ever get up to the Reading area, let me know and stop in for a drink.
Joe :usflag:
Ain't that the stuff they use to hold down the dust on them Arkansas back roads?
Joe:usflag:
Been there, done that. I don't buy it anymore. I won't take the chance.

Welcome from SE PA.
Joe
I like this bourbon quite a bit, especially as a dessert bourbon after a satisfying meal.

We just did it today.....against Weller SR 7 y/o. The Weller beat the pants off the 46.

[quote=cigarnv;244819]Probably the best value all around bourbon in the under $20 market. [quote]
Especially in Pennsylvania where they closed it out for 11.99. Me and Stu got our share.
Joe...
This was my go-to bourbon for many years, especially when it was 7 y/o and 90 proof. I don't buy it much anymore since they watered it down and removed the age statement.

Post away.

Welcome aboard Trace. I enjoyed your story. You will make many friends here.

Hi Scott. Glad to see you posting here. Your bar is very impressive. What a great line-up of bourbon. I may have had too much as Fricky found me outside talking to Mr. Kool Aid Man. Keep that bourbon...
