A little late to the party, but I'll be opening a bottle of this later tonight. I like the OGD114 a lot and usually have an open bottle on hand.

Hi Ryan. I remember you from the Tequila site. I was going to sell you some bottles you wanted (at cost, no profit to me), but we never managed to hook up before you moved away. I'm totally...
In Texas, it's legal to transport opened containers in your trunk. If you don't have a trunk (SUV, etc.), the law states that the opened containers must be transported behind the last row of seats.
I once bought a BHC VSOF that was a little low from evaporation (got the merchant to knock $5 off the price). The oxidation had a pretty negative effect on the taste and it was not very good at all...
Greetings from another Houstonian here..

That's a great price for the Weller 107 (these days..!).
I like it even more than the 12yo, which is awesome in it's own right.
I also prefer the Wellers over Buffalo Trace, but that's just my...
I'm a little late to this party, but I do love me some ORVW 10/107!
I'd definitely put Pappy 15 in there, and WT Rare Breed too.
That govt warning on the back was clearly added on later, so it appears to be a pre-govt warning bottling. I've got some of those and they are pretty tasty.
Wild Turkey Tradition would also be a good gift IMO.
Thanks, I appreciate it!

I bought one of these awhile back and finally opened it last Sunday on my 50th birthday, great stuff!
If you're worried about oxidation, just move the juice into smaller bottles as needed.
Btw, welcome to SB.com, Inthewater. How rude of me to neglect welcoming you aboard while clarifying funknik's reply.
You left out the word 'corn'...Bourbons use at least 51% corn in the mashbill by law..
(just wanted to avoid any confusion)
That's because the blue is supposed to be on top!
I'm a big fan of the wheat recipe bourbons and the WLW is one of my favorites, but it's too expensive to drink all the time. The other wheated bourbons I would recommend (progressing down in price)...
I prefer the Pappy 15 over the Lot B, by a longshot.
Can't believe I missed this thread until now, and sorry if I'm about to come across as an Antique 'fanboy'.
I love Weller Antique, and would even say that it's my favorite Weller. Price has a lot...
Tonight I'm having some WT Rye for the very first time. It's very good, and this is coming from a die-hard wheater.
Regarding the VW discussion...Around here the Lot B costs about $13 more than...
Welcome to SB, Skunk!
This is a fine group here, enjoying the great drink called Bourbon.
Wellers, in order of (my) preference:
Weller Antique 107
Weller Centennial
Weller 12
Weller Special Reserve
I recommend the ORVW 10/107 over their 10/90, well worth the few dollars more that...
Welcome to you, georgetstagg, from another Houstonian. There's some great bourbon down here in Texas! I look forward to our next gtg.
Thanks for the offer, spun_cookie, that's very nice of you!
I wasn't talking about any special bottlings, just the regular stuff that I've had. Maybe someday I'll get to try some of these selected barrels with the extra aging, etc.
