Re: I just dumped a bottle of EC12 down the drain

EC12 is one of my everyday pours, and I've never had a bottle I didn't enjoy.

I did once have a bottle of EWSB that was awful. It was when I first starting drinking bourbon, and I thought maybe...

    Re: Maker's Mark a disappointment.

As I stated in another thread, I'm a fan of MM, and it's a regular in my rotation. I can understand why others might find lacking a bit. I really like it, even at a price of about $25.

Re: Your Favorites From This List?

I'm basing this on both my personal tastes and perceived quality-price ratio.

    Old Weller Antique
    Elijah Craig 12
    Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2001

Re: BOTM 1/10 Weller 12 Year Old

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having a tough time finding this. I've actually never seen a bottle of it.

    Re: BOTM Dec09: Buffalo Trace

I'm torn on BT. I bought a couple bottles a while back at about $22 each. I thought the juice was pretty good at that price. It's now up in the $27-30 range around here, and I'm not sure I'd pay that...

Re: How many on your 'team'?

Still new to this, but there's one I can see me always having around - Elijah Craig 12. It's fairly inexpensive, available, and to me, really good.

    Re: First Timer's Club

Just opened a bottle of Eagle Rare 10 SB. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I liked it more than Buffalo Trace. I'll have to see how I feel after a few more tastings.

    Re: BOTM, 1/09: Weller Antique

Still new to the bourbon world, but I really enjoyed this. It is the first brand I've tried that is over 100 proof. I had it neat and with a splash of water, and I enjoyed it both ways. I think I...

    Re: First Timer's Club

Thanks. I think you may be right. Of the handful of brands I've tried, my two favorites so far were Weller Antique 107 and Buffalo Trace.

I have a Weller Special Reserve, Eagle Rare 10, and Elmer...

    Re: First Timer's Club

As a new bourbon drinker, I've tried only a few brands. I am finding I prefer the wheaters. I think it's because I find them a bit sweeter.

Having said that, I just tried Buffalo Trace a few days...

    Hello from Connecticut

A warm hello on a cold, snowy day in Connecticut.
I toured Jim Beam and Heaven Hill a few months back and decided to learn more about bourbon. I came across this great site, and after lurking for a...
