That's quite a find for your first dusty. I've searched most every store in a tri-county area around my hometown and haven't found any yet, but I am always on the lookout and always enjoy...

One of my personal favorite rye choices (and a popular choice among many here) is Old Grand Dad 114. It is also pretty fairly priced. Here in FL, I can find it for about $24.99 most of the time.

I second the motion for Old Granddad 114. It is one of my favorites. Reasonably priced ($25 or less per bottle), although it is a bit higher proof than you say you like, I think it is worth a shot.
nice to see math being put to good use around here!

i'd take that $72 and put it towards a bottle of the PVW 23. if you don't like it, you could set up a table outside the tavern and sell shots for $25 and make your $$$ back. :)
I would recommend Old Granddad 114. It can be found for approximately $25 a bottle. Smooth, strong and warm, IMHO.
I echo Scott's sentiments - being a Bourbon man, there is no better place to live than Kentucky. I toured the distilleries 3 summers ago while visiting family and that is when my obsession officially...
BOTM is my favorite part of the forums. While I agree that it is important to highlight bourbons that are moderately priced and relatively easy to find, I think it may be fun to pick some bourbons...
