Hey Thad...
We asked Mr. Rutledge that very question last week and he admitted that he would like to see an increase in proof on the Yellow label to somewhere in the 86 to 90 range. He doubted...

I would look at ETL, ER 10/90, Weller Antique, and Weller 12yr for starters...all of those should be available and below $30 a bottle. IMO the OWA and OGD 114 are two higher...
I had a pour of Old Fitz BIB from DSP 16 last night and man the butterscotch and caramel were fantastic. It has a velvety thickness to it that you just don't get from today's bourbons...man oh man I...
If you knew then why did you ask? Way to make friends here early...I'm guessing you'll have to find out for yourself!
I would go WTRB over Booker's...I've never really been into the small batch collection from Beam...I've had Booker's a couple time and can appreciate why people dig it but to me it's definitely not a...
If you're looking for something with a bit higher proof you could go with Old Weller Antique for a wheater and OGD 114 for a rye based bourbon...both of those are a step up IMO from what you've been...
Welcome Taylor714,
IMO you can't go wrong with either the WLW or the GTS...the WLW is going to be a barrel proof wheat based bourbon while the GTS is going to be a barrel proof rye based bourbon....
Reading all of these posts about FR Mariage makes me want to have some...I definitely know what will be on the menu for tonight!
I would agree with your assessment here Matt...I have both a Louisville and a Frankfort open and to me there is a clear difference in the bottling. The Frankfort has a "nutty" flavor to it where the...
Sipping on a Frankfort Cent pour now...next up is a pour of Louisville Cent in celebration of BOTM...hopefully I'll be able to find one of these at a store someplace in August!
Welcome aboard...
The closest location to there would be the Orland Park Binny's...If possible I would try to hit the south loop location as the one in Orland is on the smaller side and they...
I too love the 09 FR Mariage...it's one of my favorite pours!
Good to see you posting Scott...as many others have said, you have them most incredible selection of bourbon that I have ever seen in a bar. Poison Girl is a definite must visit if you're in the...
Joe...have you been drinking again? Welcome LJ...I can confirm that Chicago has some of the best bourbon selection in the country. It's hard for any state to match the offerings that Binny's provides.
