While at my local store today I was shown the three expressions of Four Roses (no 120 anniv.). They said they just got a case of each. I thought it was only available in KY and stores near the state line.

As he removed the cork from the bottle of bourbon, he threw it across the room and said, "we ain't gonna need that no more".
Yes, it just arrived. I just got notice that the small K&L chain will be carrying single barrel, small batch and yellow label.

From what I understand by the end of the year Four Roses was to be in 15 new states.
Looks like Cali is in the Roses now, and they have something good to drink on News Years Day. (could not resist the Rose Bowl game reference, GO BIG TEN!!!)

Here's a press release:

Grab some, SippinJim. For what it's worth, the Single Barrel IMO is outstanding. One of my faves. Fortunately it's been available in New Jersey for a while and I always have one on hand. Costs around $38 here. The Yellow Label is also good and makes for a nice regular pour given its low price. For whatever reason, I don't care for the Small Batch as much although a lot of people here seem to rave about it.
From the press release:
I count seven, yet Jim Rutledge told me not long ago they expected to be in half the states by the end of this year. They're doing the biggest states first, although why Colorado? If they're adding states more slowly than they expected to, that means they're exceeding their expectations.Four Roses is now available in Kentucky, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Colorado and California and will continue expansion in other U.S. markets throughout 2008.

I will begin my search ASAP. Last year it was Buffalo Trace finding its way out here, now Four Roses. I would say that it is about time.

gotta say the small batch is pretty good, too.
