Re: Which Bottle Have You Laid To Rest?

For the first in a very long time I finished off a bottle of Scotch last night, Laphroaig 18 year old. Glad I bought a couple cases of this when it was on sale for under $50 in Minnesota!

It is very good stuff, I do think I like the Cairdeas better but I haven't gotten around to researching what makes it different.

Just polished off an Isle of Arran Amarone finish. Who knew pink whisky could taste so good?

Last dram of Macallan 18 last night. I am not sure that I am going to replace this one.

Polished of a bottle of Laprhoaig CS batch #02. This is probably my favorite whiskey under $65. Still think the original CS before the batch #s was slightly better but, time will tell. It looks like batch 03 was bottled starting in January 11 and should be at US shelves shortly.

Definitely will be replacing this, probably before the 03's are around. Great Islay for those on the fence I would definitely recommend grabbing a bottle.

Killed my Laphroaig 10yr the other day. I will fondly remember that bottle as the one that started it all with my newfound Islay single malt obsession. Looking forward to getting another bottle. Just having trouble finding it.
