The white dog sample at Maker's Mark is watered down to 90 proof, so it's not that bad. I think it's a good decision, too, so the contrast with the bourbon isn't influenced by difference in proof.
I had some Beam white dog at 10:30 in the morning, on an empty stomach. I think the empty stomach was the problem. It didn't set too well.
