Old Whiskey River and Bolivar Belicoso Fino

Just enjoyed this utterly marvelous pairing. What a great way to unwind after work! The Bolivar was a happy Cuban beauty from Nov. 01, and was the perfect complement to the OWR. The strength of the cigar (these are a bit of a powerhouse) brought out some of the more subtle, sweet nuances of the OWR, particularly the caramel aspects. BLEEEEE!

Hey Kyle I think I'm going to try the Bolivar with Woodford Reserve. Herf'd the AVO with 17 year old Eagle Rare but it was a case of too much bourbon or not enough cigar. I switched off to George Dickel #12 and that was a much better pairing, but still not optimal. I am all out of the 'FOX' but I think that may be the bourbon for the AVO.

I think the Bolis go pretty damn well with Woodford, if I do say so m'self.
