    Hello from Louisville

Hi, I'm new here. I started getting into bourbon a couple years ago. I graduate this spring and hope to have more money to try other brands. I live in Louisville, for the time being, so there's no shortage of options. Here is a picture of what I'm working with currently. I just picked up the Russel's reserve a few days after they had a signing. The Evan Williams single barrel was signed by Parker Beam when I bought it, he just happened to be at the liquor store promoting it that day. The Ancient Age is my go to drink.

    Welcome to the board.

You have some nice choices on your shelf. I would recommend some Bottled in Bond to add a little kick to your pallet.

    Cheers!

Welcome! I'm a Michigander, but a good bit of Ohio Valley blood does run thru these veins too (ok, my great-grandmother was from Corydon, IN).

Good selection in all categories there! I might make three suggestions Bourbon-wise. I know these choices will come as a great shock to all here but I would recommend the following:
Four Roses (Yellow label or Single Barrel)
Very Old Barton (any proof but the higher the better)
Old Forester (standard or Sig or BIB if you can find it)
    Old Charter 10 y/o
    Old Granddad BIB

The fact that none of them are over $25 makes them taste even better. OK, maybe that's the Scottish blood talking

I found it cleaning out my grandmother's liquor cabinet after she passed away this past summer, that's also where I scored the Blanton's from the late 80s haha. I'm saving the Blantons to open during the holidays. Have you had the president's choice? The bottle came in a dated looking cardboard box, so I'm guessing it's fairly old.
