Does anyone have any recipes or info on other info on making at home? I am seeking these for a research project, and my main focus is pre prohibition/historic whiskeys.
If this were being done todaywouldnt this be called value added agriculture?

For your "research", check out: Homedistiller.org
Thanks,I do have that website and have been doing some reading there. But I am looking specificly old recipies and processies. Along with specific references to locations and ingredients.
It would help if you told us what you've read so far, and perhaps a little
more about the goals of your research.
The canonical source is "Moonshining as a fine art" from The Foxfire Book,
a.k.a. "Foxfire 1".
It's also worthwhile to do a search here on straightbourbon.com for the
words moonshine, moonshining, shine, etc... we've talked about most of the
books and websites and other source material over the years.
