Re: What bourbon can you not pass up??

The dusties go without saying. I'm going to pick up just about any of those. Particularly WT12, BHC, ND OGD's, etc. But, as for everyday releases, I can't seem to keep my paws off of Weller 12 and ETL. Even if I have them in sufficient quantity back home, and will be back in the area before mine are gone, I still pick them up.

if i searched here for my inititial response, it was about the same! then it 'opened up'.... a bit of chocolate melted on the tongue added an interesting depth and appreciation for it's unique flavor.

    but back on topic.

if certain bottlings are on SALE, i will not fail to grab:

    WT Rye
    Weller Antique
    EC12

when in Elsmere, DE, i'll always grab the Old Overholt at $10.99

and at Total Wine, the Benchmark at $9.99.

of course, i've learned my lesson...i will ALWAYS grab STAGG or Handy SAZ whenever i see them. no second thinking!

I have yet to find it, but I would pick up an Eagle Rare 101 without thinking twice.

If I ever find Weller Centennial, I am buying every one I see.

Okay, Timothy, here's the unanswered question Howie and I had: what's your preference:

    Good Friends and Mediocre Bourbon
    or
    Good Bourbon and Mediocre Friends?

What bourbon can I not pass up?

If it says bourbon, bond, and has a strip of paper over the top, I'm buying.

Ditto. Especially if it's an orange colored label.

    Bourbon on SALE.

    Dusty bourbon on SALE.

Did I leave anything out? Let's see......SALE and SALE. Nope, that pretty much sums me up.
