Huh... that clears up some of the confusion regarding Clontarf.

I didn't think it was possible for Bushmills and IDG to play nice, as they are owned by DiaGeo and Pernod-Ricard, respectively-- BITTER RIVALS in the spirits industry.

Unless, of course, Clontarf sources their spirit from an independent stock of spirit, which is not unheard-of, as the Scots do something similar-- an independent company buys stocks of whisky, then sells it to the blenders and bottlers.

Charcoal-mellowed Irish Whiskey? I know a few Jack drinkers who might be interested in this...

I am going to open the Clontarf Reserve today...Castle Brands has really marketed the idea of "New Irish"....."not your father's Irish whiskey":

"The first of the millennial generation (those born between 1980 and 2000) are in their late twenties now, and are getting tired
of fruit-juice cocktails. Irish whiskey, with its very approachable flavor profile, is new again and is a natural next step," said
Roseann Sessa, Vice President Marketing & Public Relations for Castle Brands. "Clontarf is not their father's whiskey. The
brand was 'born' in 1998 and is therefore itself part of the millennial generation."

A little New World (TN) processing...marketing idea probably..."Atlantic Oak charcoal mellowing" etc...but innovation is a good thing....the Irish whiskey market has grown very fast over the past 10-15 years..some say the fastest globally....as long as it is a good product it should find buyers.
