Bourbon availability in Montana?

I'm planning a fly fishing trip to Bozeman Montana this summer and would like to know about the availability of bourbon in this area. It's not often I'm able to leave my home in Pennsylvania where many bourbons of the great bourbons I read about on this forum simply can't be found. Is there a good variety of bourbons in Montana? One I'm hoping to find is Four Roses. It seems to come up here quite often as a favorite and I've never tried it. If you know of any others I should watch for, please let me know.

I can't wait...8 days of fishing, eating, drinking, and sleeping in no particular order!

Joe, your question made me realize that I should've mention that I am flying to Montana and side-trips on the drive out won't be an option.

I'll be driving from PA to the Canton/Akron airport in Ohio and then a flight to Denver where I'll change planes for Bozeman.

Mark, I may be making a trip out that way with my parents in their RV this summer also. I'd like to hear what you find and would post the same if I go that way prior to you. So when are you heading out?

My brother used to live in northern Wyoming. There's a lot of wide open country up there. I did a little web search to see what I might be able to find for you. Looks like the two best possibilities are Montana Wine and Spirits in Bozeman, and Belgrade Liquor in Belgrade. Made a couple of calls. The lady at Belgrade said the town and liquor store are right near the airport for Bozeman. Only a couple of miles or so. Looks like they both have decent selections of bourbon. Hope this helps some. I think the biggest determining factor will be if it is a control state or not, and I don't know off the top of my head. If it isn't there could be some great dusty hunting, if it is it could be a wasteland devoid of anything other than the typical pedestrian bourbon.

Looks to be a control state:

Montana is a control state and the only thing bourbon wise available there that appears to be a harder to get item is EW white label BIB!

I'll be going the first week of August. I'll post a report if I find anything different than what's available in PA but it doesn't sound too promising.

Maybe I'll have better luck finding some new beers to try!
