I’m trying to find a good guide on the process of brining back a case of alcohol back via. Checked baggage for personal use.
The process seems to be that you must file paperwork with the airlines, US Customs and the port of entry and pay additional fees to each. The issue is that there are no clear cut guidelines for any of this and it seems the left hand does not know what the right is doing. For example, I contacted the port of NY and they referred me to US Customs.
I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth the hassle to try to bring back say 6-12 bottles of 4 Roses Super Premium and some Japanese whisky or if it’s just too risky and that I may risk losing it all along the way.
