    Cheers from Hoboken NJ

    Hi All,

I have been enjoying bourbon for many years and only in the last few years have I upgraded from Jim Beam; though I will still opt for JB when mixing.

I have sampled many a nice bottle and have found a particular taste for several different labels. My preferences in beers seem to lean toward those aged in whiskey casks (Heresy, Bourbon County Stout, Harviestoun, etc) so there is a trend towards this spirit.

I am also an avid cigar smoker of various cameroon and maduro bands. I think that outside of coffee, a good glass of whiskey is the perfect companion to a nice stogie.

I look forward to making friends and learning more.

    Best, Rich.

Welcome to the forum, I also live in NJ and used to frequent Hoboken. Unfortunately, most bartenders in Hoboken think bourbon = Jack Daniels!?!?!?

Your beer tastes are nice another good bourbon aged beer is from Allagash although I forget the exact name right now.

Welcome Rich. Glad to have you aboard. Some of the others have mostly covered the bases with their questions and comments, so the only thing I'll add is that the only thing better than bourbon and cigars, is bourbon, cigars and some good music. Enjoy! Joe
